8 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

BY ROAD

Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

After your early breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel by your driver guide from Breeze travel Safaris who will then transfer you to Murchison falls national park that allows you an en route visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary tracking the rhinos here before proceeding for your lunch at Chobe safari lodge. Relax at the comfort of your lodge for the rest of the day, or take the rest of the afternoon, return for dinner and overnight at Chobe safari lodge (FB)


Day 2: Murchison Falls Fishing

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer for a full day fishing that allows you a lunch break before proceeding for more fishing on the Nile River. Return to the Hotel for Dinner and overnight at Chobe Safari lodge.


Day 3: Murchison Falls Game Drive/Boat Ride

After an early morning breakfast, check out of Chobe and transfer for a game drive to the northern bank/delta of MFNP in search of animals like; Giraffes, lions, Elephants, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck hyena and if you’re lucky, the leopard. Lunch will be served at Paraa safari lodge and after lunch, transfer for a 3hours boat ride on the Nile river to the bottom of the falls that allows you more bird watching and animals like: – crocodiles, hippos and elephants on the river banks with an opportunity to hike to the top of the falls before returning to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Paraa lodge. Day 4: Murchison Falls – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early breakfast, you will depart Murchison falls and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Hoima town through country side traditional homesteads and tea plantations. Lunch will be served in Fort portal town before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national park. Relax at your lodge for the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge. (FB)


Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky the leopard and about 606 bird species recorded here. After lunch, transfer to enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. Return for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge. (FB)


Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi.

After your breakfast, transfer to the Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions in search of these cats and if you’re lucky may come across them (however, this will depend on the road condition to Ishasha at the time of visit as your guide may advise otherwise you may not visit it). Proceed to Bwindi arriving at your lodge late afternoon; relax for the rest of the day, dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp. (FB)


Day 7: Gorilla Trekking (Bwindi).

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla trekking information office for a pre-briefing by the park rangers who will then lead you into the forest trekking these great relatives of ours (Mountain gorillas). The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas as they interact with each other is a memorable one. After this day’s gorgeous adventure, you will return for lunch (if not parked), relax and freshen up at your lodge and later depending on your interest, transfer for a short community walk to see these local people’s way of life and cultures or just relax at your lodge, dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest camp. Day 8: Bwindi – Kampala.

After an early morning breakfast, depart Bwindi back to Kampala that allows you an en route lunch break at Igongo cultural center before proceeding to arrive in Kampala.
